The Auburn Riverside Ravens will head out on the road to face off against the O'Dea Fighting Irish at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Auburn Riverside sitting on three straight victories and O'Dea on nine.
Auburn Riverside gave up the first points last Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They took down Juanita 28-9.
It was another big night for Thyrou Umi-Tuato'o, who rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Cole Svendsen did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 109 receiving yards and a touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Auburn Riverside's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Jordan Hefa and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, O'Dea put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 56-0 win over Shorecrest. Given O'Dea's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Shorecrest is ranked 167th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Auburn Riverside's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.2 points per game. As for O'Dea, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
