Methodist Children's Home's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Williams, who scored 16 points along with five steals. Londen Bickham was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hill struggled with assists on Thursday (Chisholm Trail Academy had 20 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Hill's tough 65-42 defeat to Chisholm Trail Academy might stick with them for a while. Hill's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jonah Brown, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, and Kevin Hudson who scored 23 points. That was a full 54.8% of Hill's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Methodist Children's Home's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Tuesday's matchup is shaping up to be a blowout: Methodist Children's Home hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 52.9 points per game. It's a different story for Hill, though, as they've been averaging only 35 points per game. The only thing between Methodist Children's Home and another offensive beatdown is Hill.
