Durant hadn't done well against Collinsville recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Lions blew past the Cardinals 8-1. Considering the Lions have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Durant and bumps their season record up to 15-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Collinsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 26-7.
