The Butler Bulldogs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 42-14 win over Waldwick/Midland Park. The result was nothing new for Butler, who have now won five games by 26 points or more so far this season.
Kyle Perry continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 115 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. Perry is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bobby Battipede, who rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown.
Butler's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Waldwick/Midland Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Butler will be playing at home against Verona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Verona comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Waldwick/Midland Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
