Cardington-Lincoln has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Northmor Golden Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Cardington-Lincoln focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, Cardington-Lincoln came up short against Danville and fell 53-43.
Madison Caulkins put forth a good effort for the losing side as she dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Hardwick, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Cardington-Lincoln were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Northmor's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of East Knox by a score of 35-33.
Cardington-Lincoln now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Northmor, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-5.
Cardington-Lincoln came up short against Northmor when the teams last played back in February, falling 34-25. Can Cardington-Lincoln avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
