Valley View has won four straight games at home, while Liberty has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Eagles will welcome the Bison at 3:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Valley View's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Colony as they made off with a 16-0 victory.
The result came thanks to Bella Hernandez's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Valley View let Alyssa Torres and Miranda Maese run wild. Torres fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4, while Maese went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those four hits gave Maese a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddie Barrios, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
They weren't the only one making solid contact: Valley View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in eight consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Liberty got the win against Orange Vista on Thursday by a conclusive 11-5.
Janessa Guigliano looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Emma Campos was a standout: she scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Jennessy Lopez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Liberty has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Valley View, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Valley View hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Liberty struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.2 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Valley View took their win against Liberty in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
