Rogers is a perfect 10-0 against Woodward since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Rams will look to defend their home field against the Polar Bears at 5:00 p.m. Rogers is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Rogers turned things around against Scott on Monday. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 27-6 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rams needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Rylie Mundt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Charity Murphy was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Da'Mya Boles, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Rogers was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .553. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Woodward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Waite, falling 16-4.
Georgia Chene made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Pasco, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases.
Woodward's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Rogers, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rogers has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Woodward struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Rogers took their win against Woodward in their previous matchup on April 3rd by a conclusive 29-9 score. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Polar Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
