National Collegiate Prep had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were given a punishing 0-42 loss at the hands of Archbishop Carroll. The result was completely at odds with the teams' state rankings as National Collegiate Prep enjoys a hefty 93 spot advantage.
Senior Hudson Primus, ii, who passed for 140 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in the success. Archbishop Carroll also got a significant boost from senior Lamont Sparrow, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 145 yards. This was the first contest for both squads, starting National Collegiate Prep off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Archbishop Carroll a 1-0 record.
Next week, National Collegiate Prep take on Kingsman Academy at 7:00 PM. As for Archbishop Carroll, they will face of against Bullis.
