Meanwhile, Emanuel County Institute beat Screven County 57-46 on Tuesday. That looming 57-46 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Emanuel County Institute yet this season.
Portal's victory was their 23rd straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.1 points per game. As for Emanuel County Institute, their victory bumped their record up to 2-13.
Everything came up roses for Portal against Emanuel County Institute when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 81-37 victory. With Portal ahead 45-17 at the half, the match was all but over already.
