Even though the Polytechnic Parrots have not done well against the South Hills Scorpions recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Polytechnic snuck past South Hills with a 25-21 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Polytechnic.
Polytechnic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for South Hills, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-20.
Polytechnic will be home for the holidays to greet Everman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Everman presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Polytechnic in Texas (Everman is ranked 616th, while Polytechnic is ranked 1445th). As for South Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against Trimble Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trimble Tech has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 3.
