After having lost a blowout in their previous game against French Settlement, the Northlake Christian Wolverines were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They managed a 62-56 victory over Springfield. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Springfield's loss came despite strong showings from Tobias McGee and Caden Dykes. McGee scored 16 points along with six assists and two steals, while Dykes scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Robert Culbertson, who scored five points.
Northlake Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Springfield, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northlake Christian will take on the Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springfield, they will head out on the road to square off against the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
