The St. John Lutheran Saints lost against the Wildwood Wildcats back in January of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. St. John Lutheran was outmatched by Wildwood at home and fell 60-22. St. John Lutheran was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-12.
They used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Jeremiah Furey,
Cage Patrick, and
Bryce Disimile posted five points each.
Wildwood found their leader in underclassman Zayden Garcia, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Glover III, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals.
St. John Lutheran bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Wildwood, their win bumped their record up to 1-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. John Lutheran will take on Saint Francis Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wildwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Port at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Port has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 300 points over their last five games.
