The Calhoun Warriors waltzed into their matchup on Monday with 11 straight wins but they left with 12. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Southwestern 53-25 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Calhoun has posted since January 9th.
Southwestern's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gracie Darr, who scored eight points, and Samantha Stormer who scored eight points.
Calhoun has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season. As for Southwestern, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calhoun will square off against Seymour at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwestern, they will head out on the road to square off against Metro-East Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
