Academy for Business & Tech couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Communication Media Arts on Wednesday, falling 48-9.
Meanwhile, Ypsilanti beat Henry Ford Academy on Monday by the very same score they won with last week: 49-4. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-3.
Ypsilanti can attribute much of their success to Charity Hurt, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nylese Hood, who scored 4 points along with 10 steals and 6 rebounds.
Academy for Business & Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Ypsilanti, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
