Volleyball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Comes Up Short

Notre Dame Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West De Pere Phantoms. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tritons of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Notre Dame Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Liv Waldrop had 15 digs and three assists. Waldrop is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Addy Madson also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Notre Dame Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for West De Pere, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-1.

Notre Dame Academy has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Sheboygan Falls on the 6th. As for West De Pere, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Luxemburg-Casco on the 6th.
