After losing to the New Roads Jaguars the last time they met, the Vistamar Vikings decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Vistamar enjoyed a cozy 56-37 win over New Roads on Thursday.
It was another big night for Isaiah Hill, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Hill is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Luke Lagao, who scored 14 points.
Vistamar's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for New Roads, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vistamar won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lennox Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. Lennox Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1219th, while Vistamar is ranked 566th). As for New Roads, they will head out on the road to face off against California Academy of Math & Science at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
