Saint Andrew and North Broward Prep are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Saint Andrew's Scots will face off against the North Broward Prep Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Saint Andrew's knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully North Broward Prep likes a good challenge.
Last Thursday, Saint Andrew's didn't have too much trouble with Westminster Academy as they won 78-59.

Saint Andrew's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Xander Gerard led the charge by almost dropping a triple-double on 16 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists. The dominant performance gave Gerard a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Alex Montes, who went 9 of 18 on his way to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Broward Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They claimed a resounding 60-29 victory over Miami Christian. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Victors are ranked 277th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Saint Andrew's better keep an eye on Samuel Cano. He was instrumental in North Broward Prep's win, going 7 for 9 en route to 18 points. Jayden Smith was another key player, putting up nine points.
North Broward Prep is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points per game. As for Saint Andrew's, they pushed their record up to 23-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Saint Andrew's has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.9 boards per game. However, it's not like North Broward Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Saint Andrew's beat North Broward Prep 57-45 in their previous matchup last Saturday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Saint Andrew's since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
