After two games on the road, Slocum is heading back home. They will take on the Neches Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, Slocum ended up a good deal behind the Yellowjackets and lost 63-47. Slocum has not had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Neches over the Eagles in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Neches was the clear victor by a 66-41 margin over the Eagles. Neches pushed the score to 46-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had little chance of recovering from.
Slocum's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Neches, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-11.
Slocum was able to grind out a solid victory over the Tigers in their previous meeting back in January, winning 53-43. Does Slocum have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
