With a playoff game on the line, the Jefferson Dragons rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 35-12 victory. Jefferson's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
It was another big night for Sammy Brown, who rushed for 259 yards and four touchdowns.
Harris County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mataye Youman, who rushed for 164 yards while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
The last time Jefferson lost on the road was back back in September of 2022. Having now won nine straight away matchups, they've pushed their record up to 13-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.67 points. As for Harris County, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2.
Jefferson is on the road again on Friday and play against Creekside at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Creekside is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Harris County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
