Dalton Walker Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Elkhart got the W thanks in part to Dalton Walker playing the best football he has all season. Walker rushed for 218 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 69 yards.
Buffalo had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Walker it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Walker saw the Bison), he rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 65 receiving yards.

Trystyn Tidrow Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Elkhart got the W thanks in part to Trystyn Tidrow playing the best football he has all season. Tidrow threw for 294 yards and six touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 47 yards. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023. He didn't just play on offense: he also made eight total tackles and defended a pass.
This season, Tidrow has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 174.3 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 0.43 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 21 rushing yards.

Bryce Wallum's Big Game Leads Troup over Winona
Bryce Wallum was instrumental in extending Troup's winning streak to five on Friday. Wallum was unstoppable, rushing for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 107 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes.
Troup pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Wallum and Troup will look to defend their home field on Friday against New Diana.

Davyon Mapps and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Davyon Mapps's big game helped extend New Diana's winning streak to six on Friday. Mapps did his part (and then some), rushing for 145 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries for the 'W'. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 112 rushing yards dating back to last season.
This year, Mapps has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 127.5 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 79.17 rushing yards per game.

Wells Came Up Big in Troup's 50-6 Victory
Troup picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Brett Wells. Winona had no answer to Wells as he rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Wells must have Winona's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Wells rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries the last time he and the Wildcats duked it out back in October of 2023.
