On Friday Redfield/Doland take on Sisseton at 7:00 PM. Redfield/Doland come in off of five low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
Redfield/Doland were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Friday, as they fell 8-14 to Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central.
Meanwhile, Sisseton have had to suffer through a 4-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were fully in charge, breezing past Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 50-0. Sisseton were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Sisseton's victory lifted them to 1-4 while Redfield/Doland's defeat dropped them down to 0-5. In their win, Sisseton relied heavily on junior Ty Peterson, who rushed for 104 yards and 3 touchdowns. Redfield/Doland will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
