Eastwood is a perfect 10-0 against Coronado since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Eastwood will welcome Coronado at 6:30 p.m. Eastwood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Eastwood got the win against Pebble Hills by a conclusive 12-5. The Troopers haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Ariana Hernandez made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Eastwood got a massive performance out of Joselyn Echavarria, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI Echavarria has posted since back in February. Deja Churchill was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Eastwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .558. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Montwood, falling 14-3.
Mikaela Leyva made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2.
Eastwood's victory bumped their record up to 23-2-1. As for Coronado, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.
Coronado's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Eastwood has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Coronado, though, as they've been averaging 9.2 hits. Given Eastwood's sizable advantage in that area, Coronado will need to find a way to close that gap.
Eastwood took their win against Coronado in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-2. Does Eastwood have another victory up their sleeve, or will Coronado turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
