Union will look to defend their home turf on Friday against J.Z. George at 7:00 PM. Union is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Union came within a touchdown against Noxapater last Friday, but wound up with a 7-20 loss. Union's defeat came about despite a quality game from junior Colby Ferguson, who picked up 83 yards on the ground and accumulated 106 passing yards.
Meanwhile, J.Z. George took a serious blow against Water Valley, falling 6-41. J.Z. George were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-34.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
