This season hasn't been kind to the Camden Military Spartans, who are still winless after their sixth match. They were beaten by Heathwood Hall Episcopal 52-22 on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Camden Military has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heathwood Hall Episcopal to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nic Nichols, who scored nine points along with five assists and four steals. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. Deuce Claxton was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Camden Military bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Heathwood Hall Episcopal, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.
Camden Military will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Laurence Manning Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 16, 2024. As for Heathwood Hall Episcopal, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakbrook Prep at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Oakbrook Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Tuesday.
