Everything went their way against the Mansfield Wolverines as the Plain Dealing Lions made off with  a  14-4 victory. The  win was just what Plain Dealing needed coming off of  a  14-0 loss in their prior  match.
  Katie Green made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  four innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits (and not a single walk). Green was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run.
 In other batting news,  Sanaa Lyles was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last four games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Mckenna Fisk, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Plain Dealing's victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-7. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.0 runs per game. As for Mansfield, they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-15.
 Coincidentally, Plain Dealing and Mansfield will both be playing Ringgold the next time they take the field. Plain Dealing will head out to face Ringgold at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday, while Mansfield will  host them  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
