Eau Gallie came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Varsity Opponent a 10-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Commodores have won by exactly ten runs.

Eau Gallie let Vincent Breckenridge and Chase McBrearty run wild. Breckenridge went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI, while McBrearty scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave McBrearty a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Brock Lustic, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Eau Gallie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.

Eau Gallie pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Eau Gallie will host Harmony at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-3 loss against Southwest Covenant on the 13th.
