The Highline Pirates were the 66-56 winner over the Foster Bulldogs when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. Highline took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Foster.
Despite the loss, Highline still got an impressive performance from Corey Crosby, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Simpson, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Foster to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mohamad Mamlouk, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Hussein Diakite was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Highline's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Foster, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11.
Highline will take on Lindbergh at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lindbergh's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Foster, they will head out on the road to take on Renton at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Renton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Foster in Washington (Renton is ranked 90th, while Foster is ranked 319th).
