Panama got a massive performance out of CHRIS GRAY, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI and one triple. Those two hits gave GRAY a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of ROPER LOVELL, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Panama always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .542. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Warner only posted an OBP of .000.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pocola, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over Talihina on Monday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Golden Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Aiden Howard made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Howard was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Austin Cagle, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Brady Jones was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Pocola now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Panama, their record is now 17-3.
Panama got the 'W' when the teams last played on April 9th against Pocola by a conclusive 16-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Razorbacks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
