The Wilmington Charter Force will head out on the road to face off against the Tatnall Hornets at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Wilmington Charter comes in on three and Tatnall on 11.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wilmington Charter had no problem doing just that on Friday. They didn't even let the Panthers onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Ten seems to be a good number for Wilmington Charter as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Wilmington Charter's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady harach, who gained 133 total yards and a touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Wilmington Charter's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Joshua Pullin and Finn Sclavounos who racked up four sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Tatnall stacked a 11th blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They blew past Indian River 28-7.
Rahshan Lamons was his usual excellent self, rushing for 184 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 54 yards and a touchdown on only five passes. Lamons' longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards.
The last time Wilmington Charter lost on the road was back back in September. Having now won five straight away matches, they've pushed their record up to 9-3. As for Tatnall, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
Wilmington Charter was dealt a bruising 52-0 defeat at the hands of Tatnall in their previous matchup on November 4th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Tatnall's Lamons, who rushed for 193 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 131 yards and three touchdowns on only eight passes.
