In other batting news, Leah Denny was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Mattie Southard was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Clover Garden School's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 10-4. As for Bethany Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Clover Garden School hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Bethany Community struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
