It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Bethesda Christian Patriots can now relate to. They fell to the Thunderbirds 55-50. Bethesda Christian's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kenzie Fulks, who scored 30 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 60% of Bethesda Christian's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sydney Goodin, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
It was another big night for Jalyn Davidson, who scored 25 points along with two steals for North Central. Shelby Seay was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight assists and five steals.
Bethesda Christian's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for North Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.
Bethesda Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Central is on the road again on Saturday and plays Wood Memorial at 12:00 p.m. on February 17th. Hopefully North Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Saturday.
