Basketball Recap: Isreal Fugett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Oklahoma City S over Trinity Christian

Oklahoma City S lost against Trinity Christian back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Oklahoma City S Storm took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Christian Lions. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Storm came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 161st in Oklahoma, while the Lions are ranked 375th in Texas).

Several Storm players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isreal Fugett, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks. That's the most points Fugett has posted since back in November. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Leonard, who posted 13 points.

Leading Trinity Christian to victory were Jet Naegele and Lucai Anderson. Naegele dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds, while Anderson had 27 points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Oklahoma City S and nudges their season record down to 7-14. As for Trinity Christian, they moved to 11-10 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Oklahoma City S didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-46 victory against Midland Christian on the 27th. As for Trinity Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-61 loss against Roosevelt on the 27th.
