They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 39-19 walloping at the hands of Hilltop Christian. Southside Christian has struggled against Hilltop Christian recently, as their match on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Southside Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alina Sharp. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sharp has scored all season.
Hilltop Christian can attribute much of their success to Meleah Bell, who scored 14 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bell has scored at least a third of Hilltop Christian's points.
Southside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Hilltop Christian, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-8.
