Cane Ridge has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Hillsboro Burros at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Cane Ridge posted their closest win yet this season on Friday. They skirted past Antioch 76-74.
Cane Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avyion Mccleton, who scored 20 points along with five assists. Da'ron Hall was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hillsboro unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 68-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pope John Paul II. While losing is never fun, Hillsboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Pope John Paul II is ranked fourth).
Cane Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Hillsboro, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
Cane Ridge was dealt a bruising 81-47 loss at the hands of Hillsboro when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Cane Ridge, Thaddeus Johnson (who scored 24 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
