Little Kanawha recap September 17, 2013
Michael Stout of St. Marys ran for the longest rushing play in Little Kanawha this season against Parkersburg Catholic last week. Stout's team topped the Crusaders as he sprinted for 62 yards on the play and finished with 52 in all.
Ritchie County was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fifth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Rebels triumphed over Clay County 47-21.
David Lipscomb and Wyatt Ford gave Doddridge County a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Lipscomb threw for 63 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Ford ran for 196 yards. Teammate Jarrod Sandy added to the ground attack by rushing for 64 yards.

Lipscomb put up the best numbers in passing as Doddridge County defeated Calhoun. Lipscomb's favorite target this week was Sandy, who caught 2 passes for 27 yards.
Ford was a passing and rushing force as Bobby Burnside's team topped the Red Devils.
Colby Brode was the best receiver in the league this week as St. Marys beat Parkersburg Catholic. Brode racked up 2 receptions for 67 yards.

6-foot-2 quarterback Austin Cunningham of Gilmer County is the league leader in passing yards this season with 410. He has also thrown 5 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Brode. The St. Marys star has 9 catches for 227 yards.
As it stands, the Bulldogs are in fourth, while Wirt County is in eighth.
Doddridge County took down Calhoun 45-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ford in the win.
