The Shafter Generals can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Kennedy by a score of 56-47.
Leading Shafter to victory were Shaun Maldonado and Aidan Cardenas. Maldonado scored 22 points, while Cardenas scored 19 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Bloemhof, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
Shafter's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10. As for Kennedy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Shafter will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Wasco at 6:30 p.m. Wasco is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Kennedy, they will head out on the road to challenge Chavez at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Chavez's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
