Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cabrini). Everything went their way against the Lutheran Warriors on Tuesday as they made off with an 11-1 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Monarchs considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Evan Nowc made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, Eddie Hughes was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Noah Roman was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
With the victory, Cabrini broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6. As for Lutheran, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
