The Summit View Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 38-37 to Highland Hall. Summit View was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Highland Hall apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Highland Hall's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nico Quintanilla led the charge by scoring nine points along with five rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Roman Stein-Sarceda, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Summit View bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Highland Hall, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-0.
Summit View won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Westmark at 3:30 p.m. on December 13th. Highland Hall will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on San Fernando Valley Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
