The Twin Loup Wolves can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They took down Palmer 49-33. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Twin Loup has managed all season.
Cassidy Grint was the offensive standout of the match as she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 20 rebounds. Those 20 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Madison Glidden, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Twin Loup's win bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Palmer, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Twin Loup will be home for the holidays to greet Sandhills Valley on Friday. Sandhills Valley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Palmer will be home for the holidays to greet Giltner at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
