4A District 7 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Highlands extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 7 this week by beating Covington Catholic, 35-21. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Harrison County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,017 from 11,123.
Harrison County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Thorobreds feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Robbie Stroub has thrown for 354 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Terrell Roberts has 10 catches for 205 yards. Deshon Talbott leads the league in rushing with 376 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Colonels take on Pendleton County. As it stands, Covington Catholic is in second, while the Wildcats are in fourth.
Holmes led 4A District 7 in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on Pendleton County.
