Even though Hanahan has not done well against the Dolphins recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Hanahan breezed by the Dolphins at home to the tune of 60-32. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Hanahan had established a 22 point advantage.
Jaylah Hughes was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Camdyn Lawson, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Philip Simmons blew past the Eagles, posting a 47-16 win on the road.
Philip Simmons found their leader in underclassman Kenira Holmes, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Holmes has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Tia Chaney was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Hanahan is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Philip Simmons, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
