The Eastern Musketeers will square off against the Clarksville Generals at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Eastern took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Crothersville with a sharp 24-3 victory. The Musketeers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Mason Chanley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Carter Smith was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with five runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those five runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reas Sater, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one double.
Eastern always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Clarksville and Crawford County, and Clarksville kept the tradition alive. The Generals skirted past the Wolfpack 6-4.
The team relied heavily on Jayden Arnold, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Clarksville is undefeated when Arnold posts two or more runs, but 4-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Thomas, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Clarksville's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Eastern, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Eastern got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Clarksville by a conclusive 16-4 score. Will the Musketeers repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
