The Merritt Island Mustangs will take on the Satellite Scorpions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Merritt Island 2.9, Satellite 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Satellite will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Merritt Island extended their winning streak to five on Thursday. The Mustangs put the hurt on Master's Academy with a sharp 14-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won nine matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Chase Burns looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Liam Miller was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Jayce Brandes was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Merritt Island was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Master's Academy only posted a batting average of .211.
Meanwhile, Satellite hadn't done well against Rockledge recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Scorpions walked away with a 9-4 win over the Raiders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Scorpions.
Brady Roberts and MJ Valdes did most of the damage at the plate: Roberts scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Valdes scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Christian Colbert, who scored two runs and stole three bases.
Merritt Island pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Satellite, their victory bumped their record up to 17-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Merritt Island has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Satellite struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
