Milpitas and Mountain View are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Milpitas didn't have quite enough to beat Homestead and fell 6-5. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chloe Cabrera was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Destiny Solis was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Mountain View came out on top against Pacific Grove on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Spartans narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Breakers 5-4.

Mountain View saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leilani Tanielu, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Maya Buell also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Mountain View has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Milpitas, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-9.

Mountain View's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Milpitas hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. It's a different story for Mountain View, though, as they've only averaged .241. Will they be able to contain Milpitas' hitters?

Milpitas came out on top in a nail-biter against Mountain View in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
