On Tuesday, Julian earned a 60-48 victory over Calexico Mission.
After soaring to a 21-point win in their last game, Warner came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of San Pasqual Academy by a score of 49-46. Warner has struggled against San Pasqual Academy recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Warner's defeat came about despite a quality game from Angel Carachure, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Carachure hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. Omar Acosta was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Julian's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Warner, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.
Julian ended up a good deal behind Warner in their previous matchup on January 9th, losing 55-41. Can Julian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
