On Friday, The Prairie Pirates faced the Logos Knights Crest in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Prairie's tough 66-40 defeat to Logos might stick with them for a while. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Prairie's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Behler, who threw for 136 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Trenton Lorentz also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Jack Driskill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Logos, throwing for 354 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Driskill is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last six games he's played. Ben Carlson was another key contributor, picking up 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Prairie's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-3. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Logos, Kamiah, and Potlatch. As for Logos, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Prairie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Logos is also done with their season.
