Volleyball Recap: Wheaton Academy Takes a Loss

The Wheaton Academy Warriors came up short against the Lincoln-Way Central Knights on Saturday and fell 2-0.

While Wheaton Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Lincoln-Way Central work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 26-24.

Despite the defeat, Wheaton Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Penny Park had 12 assists and four digs.

Wheaton Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Lincoln-Way Central, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Wheaton Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Plainfield North on the 13th. As for Lincoln-Way Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Aurora East on the 13th.
