Jacob Couch and Ethan Whitehurst provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Halifax Academy. The connection went for 60 yards, the longest such play in Florida Christian III (6 Man) this season.
Clearwater Academy International extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Oasis Christian, 59-13. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Couch put up the best numbers through the air as Families Instructing Students HomeSchool defeated Halifax Academy. He finished with nine completions for 222 yards and six touchdowns. Couch's favorite target this week was Grant Sims, who caught four passes for 89 yards.
Whitehurst was the best wideout in the league this week as Geneva Classical Academy topped Town 'N Country Christian Academy. Whitehurst racked up three receptions for 145 yards. Jackson Maravilla helped Geneva Classical Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 33 yards.
Nicholas Strazzulla was the most productive running back in Florida Christian III (6 Man) this week. In three carries, he ran for 49 yards as the Knights topped Town 'N Country Christian Academy. Matthew Hazelton also contributed to the rushing game with 42 yards on the ground.
Caleb Watson made the biggest impact on defense this week as Families Instructing Students HomeSchool beat Halifax Academy. The senior forced one fumble and racked up one sack.
Thanks to the talents of Couch and Tim Warren John Catlin's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Couch leads the league in passing with 629 yards, while Warren has rushed for 908 yards this season. Geneva Classical Academy's Whitehurst leads the league in receiving yards with 513 on 16 catches.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Hillsborough Baptist and City of Life Christian Academy. The Lions enters the game ranked 16th in the state, while the Warriors ranks ninth.
Warren of the Families Instructing Students HomeSchool is only 92 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
