Southeastern RVT and Bristol-Plymouth RVT are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Hawks will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Craftsmen at 3:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Southeastern RVT comes in on four and Bristol-Plymouth RVT on eight.
If Southeastern RVT beats Bristol-Plymouth RVT with 14 runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Hawks put the hurt on Westport with a sharp 14-6 win on Thursday. With that victory, the Hawks brought their scoring average up to 7.2 runs per game.

Becca Hornung was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Angelica Goodwin was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Abby Spencer, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Bristol-Plymouth RVT got the win against Durfee last Thursday by a conclusive 18-8. Fans of the Craftsmen have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Gabrianna Arrighi spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered eight earned runs on 12 hits and racked up 12 Ks.
At the plate, Izzy Torres and Alexis Courtemanche did most of the damage at the plate: Torres went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Courtemanche went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and two doubles. With that strong performance, Courtemanche is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. Jessica Slavick was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Bristol-Plymouth RVT kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Bristol-Plymouth RVT pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Southeastern RVT, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Southeastern RVT has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 13.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bristol-Plymouth RVT struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Southeastern RVT couldn't quite get it done against Bristol-Plymouth RVT in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Will the Hawks have more luck at home instead of on the road?
