Baseball Recap: Currituck County Has No Trouble Against Pasquotank County

Currituck County won the last time they faced Pasquotank County and things went their way on Thursday too. The Knights were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Riley Anderson was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for Currituck County: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Nash Mikkelsen, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Currituck County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pasquotank County only posted a batting average of .000.

Currituck County now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Pasquotank County, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Coming up, Currituck County will welcome Deep Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Pasquotank County, they will head out on the road to square off against First Flight at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
